First, the myth: there is no special HIV diet

NIH's fact sheet is unambiguous: "The basics of a healthy diet are the same for everyone, regardless of HIV status." The advice that follows is ordinary — variety across protein, dairy, healthy fats, vegetables, fruits and whole grains; enough calories to maintain a healthy weight; less saturated fat, sodium and added sugar; and prioritizing whole foods[1]. Food safety: the short, practical list
