The Community Pledge
I stand with people living with HIV.
I believe every person deserves dignity, compassion, and care — no exceptions, no asterisks, regardless of how they acquired HIV, where they live, or what they can afford.
I will not stay silent when I hear stigma, shame, or misinformation about HIV.
I commit to knowing the facts — including that Undetectable = Untransmittable. A person living with HIV who is on treatment and maintains a sustained undetectable viral load cannot sexually transmit the virus. This is science. This is settled.
I believe access to HIV care and treatment is a right — not a privilege, not a reward for good behavior, and not something that should depend on your income, your insurance, or your zip code.
I stand with people newly diagnosed — and I want them to know that an HIV diagnosis today is not what it once was. Treatment works, life expectancy is normal, and no one has to go through this alone.
I honor the long-term survivors who lived through the worst of this epidemic — and I commit to making sure they are not forgotten now.
I stand with everyone still fighting for the care and treatment they deserve.
